Wow, what a wonderful weekend. Accomplished many things in the studio, finished two scarves and organized several stacks of paper. I even did a little pillow case for my mom, it's too small so it will need to be redone. So excited, it really seems like things are coming together for me. Big John walked this morning and seems like he is in a really good mood. Supper last night was chicken fried steak and chocolate cake for dessert. Yummy! Got a text message from my daughter this morning, she is officially a senior now! She is passing all her classes YEAH! So proud of her, these last couple of weeks have been difficult for our family.
My Uncle Billy is in the nursing home for rehabilitation after his hip surgery. He has is moments and his days. Last night I took over some corn bread and picked up a box from Little Billy. You will never guess what was in the box, full of recipes from a little old lady. I am so excited, to have been given the task of preserving these little treasures. The lady was moving up to the great white north and wanted someone to have her collection. She hardly cooks anymore and wanted them to be taken care of. Billy knew the right person ME! I am hoping to get home and start photographing them today. So much to do, I can hardly contain myself. I'm at work right now with limited Internet activity 11-1, so I hardly get anything done internetwise that is.
I want to have one blog with all my stuff, it just doesn't look like I can figure this out. So I have linked up top to the preserving recipes and book blog sites. I guess this will need to work for now. Now I need to make time to write and post when I finish things and really, super really get organized. I used to have a to do list, it got so big like 10 pages long, I couldn't handle it anymore. I finally broke down to buy a calendar and it doesn't start until July, go figure! My job is still up in the air. Is the company closing? Is my time here at an end? Can I find something else? Why can't I afford the top of the line camera equipment? I need a fairy Godmother and quick! I tell myself everyday, just keep working, just keep working and good things will come. Trying to keep it real and ignore I am totally broke, today is just not the day to think about loosing my house! Time for me to go before I make this day dreary. ttfn ~ alli
